As Christmas is fast on the approach, we would like to invite all of our followers to peek inside Fragrance Direct Head Quarters and our most recent Press Day in London! Candles, trees and baubles took over our office last week and we began the final preparations for hosting our Christmas Press Day. We invited 8 of our favourite online press and bloggers to join us for a day in the unbelievably quaint Kinnerton Street, in the loveliest corner of Belgravia. There, we welcomed them into Rachel Vosper's beautiful candle shop ' which can only be described as Pinterest perfection! (Pale walls, white washed shelving and gorgeous wood flooring were the perfect backdrop for the candles and FD Christmas dǸcor!)
As you walked through the doors of the store you couldn't help but be drawn in by the gorgeous scent from Rachel's bespoke candles. We worked closely with Rachel to create 4 bespoke candles to compliment some of the bestsellers for 2015, pulling out key notes from Valentino Donna, Gucci Bamboo, Boss The Scent and Marc Jacobs Decadence. These 4 bespoke scented candles were completely intoxicating, perfectly blending and created to pick up notes for each fragrance. As we took our guests through each scent, it gave us the chance to discuss all our favourite perfumes and which scents we find ourselves reaching for over the Christmas months.
Welcoming the ladies into the candle studio at the back of the shop the course began. Rachel Vosper took over to show the group how they could create their own candles, giving a step by step account of how each of her beautiful creations is made. Rachel shared all her knowledge and tips for candle etiquette with the team as we went along. The finished product looked and smelled divine!
The morning finished with a festive gathering around our FD tree to hand out some Fragrance Direct goodies and get the last perfect Insta post! We would like to say another huge thank you to Rachel Vosper for opening her doors to the #MadeWithFD press day and of course to all the lovely ladies who attended! We hope you enjoyed it?
