Strobing is the hottest makeup trend to hit the runway right now, and with the festive season right around the corner we thought it was only fitting to team the two looks together to create a sexy, subtle, red lip makeup tutorial perfect for any occasion. Keep on scrolling to see how to re-create Steph's look.
The first step is to highlight the high points of the face using Technic High Lights - a cream highlight that's the perfect dupe for Benefit's High Beam! Apply it to the cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose and the chin to add a natural dewy look to the skin. Next, follow up with a lightweight foundation like the Bourjois Healthy Mix 16hr Foundation. Buff it in to really mesh the product with your own complexion!
To disguise any dark circles or blemishes, the next step is to apply the MAC Moisture cover concealer. To help diminish the look of under eye bags, try using a lighter tone than what you'd normally go for, to help uplift the face. The next step is to warm up the skin using the Bobbi Brown Matte Bronzer in the shade 'Neutral'. Apply the product from your temples to your cheek bones, to your chin in a swirling '3' motion. This will help warm up the face as well as lightly contour those cheek bones!
Not enough 'strobing' for you? If you want to add more to your look, simply apply more of the Technic High Lights over the cheekbones and gently press into the skin as to not disturb your base. Gently dust the W7 Let's Glow shimmering powder across the high points of your face to set your highlighter and give off a more 'strobed' effect.
Despite this look mostly being about the skin and lips, it's still important to add a little definition to the eyes to balance everything out. To do this, simply blend Bourjois' UNE Sfumato eye shadow (shade S20) in the crease using a fluffy brush, apply a light coating of Max Factor's False Lash Effect Mascara in Black/brown and finish the eye look by filling in the brows with The Body Collection's eyebrow pencil.
For the lips, start off by colouring in your pout with Sheseido's The Makeup Lip Liner in Cinnamon Red. This will help to even out the lips and ensure any lipsticks stays put for hours. To add the desired colour to your lip look, sweep Max Factor's Colour Elixir Lipstick in Chilli all over. Leave to set, and apply some more to help amplify the colour. You're good to go!
