Start by smoothing out the skin using the W7 Porfection primer. Not only will this help to smooth out the skin, but it'll also keep your makeup on your face all night long! Since the eyes are a huge part of this look, we've decided to skip the base (for now) and head straight for the eyeshadow. This is perfect if you're just starting out with makeup, as it means you can be as messy as you like! Once you clean up with foundation and concealer afterwards, no one will ever know.
For the eyes, we've decided to use the Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Escape palette as it contains everything from subtle matte shades to seriously shimmery. Start by applying the shade 'Harvest moon' all over the lid to act as a base. Doing this will ensure the rest of your shadow blends seamlessly! Next it's time to add that transition shade in the crease. The colour 'Hot Cocoa' is perfect for this as it's a one-shade-suits-all kind of colour. Buff it into the crease to give the eyes a little extra definition. Don't forget to smoke out the bottom lash line! Now it's time to have some fun with the eyes. Start by patting the shade 'Crisp' over the centre of the lid to give the eyes a subtle shimmer and then follow up with 'Chestnut' in the outer corner of the eyes to smoke it all out. Don't forget to blend! Next, using a slightly dampened brush (these shadows work so well when wet!) pick up a small amount of the 'Crisp' shade again and focus it on the inner corner of the eyes. This will help recreate that glittery look.
Now it's time to add that super sharp cat eye. To do this we're using the Bourjois Smokey Eye Effect Eyeliner in the shade Smoked Brown. The texture of this liner is really creamy - perfect for blending - but once it's set, it's there all night. Line the waterline using the pencil for that added smokey effect and follow up by roughly draw a line towards the end of your brow. Blend it out using the brush on the end.
What's a Kylie Jenner look without layers of lashes? For this we've decided to use the Revlon Ultra Volume mascara in the shade Blackest Black. Add a few coats on both the top and bottom lashes for a fluttery look. And if that's not enough? Add some falsies! To keep them looking natural, be sure to fill in the lash line with the shade 'Black Crow' from the Vintage Escape palette.
Now it's time to work on that base! Kylie's makeup was super glowy for the Met Gala, so we've opted to use the Bourjois Happy Light concealer, as it provides a natural, yet medium coverage effect. Complete the base by buffing in the Revlon Colourstay 24 Hour Foundation for a super HD finish.
Of course, we can't forget about the contour. Using the darkest shade from the Technic Contour Stix Cream Crayons set, carve out the hollows of the cheeks. For extra dimension add the lightest contour colour to the high points of the face and blend, blend, blend! For an extra glow, lightly dust the BareMinerals Warmth bronzer over the face in a '3' shape motion, and follow up by framing the face using the Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil and Gel set. Set the look with the Clinique Blended Face Powder in the shade Invisible Blend. This will help secure the makeup whilst also adding a natural glow. Finish up with Rimmel's Provocalips Lip Colour in the shade Skinny Dipping and you're officially Met Gala ready!
